1 · Privacy & Data

Who we are

Savad is a service of "EXAMROOM" Məhdud Məsuliyyətli Cəmiyyəti (EXAMROOM LLC), a limited liability company registered in Azerbaijan, taxpayer number (VÖEN) 1704227541, at Bül-bül avenue 14, apt. 15, Sabail district, Baku, Azerbaijan. Privacy questions go to info@savad.io, or call +994 51 806 58 41.

Who decides what happens to the data

This matters more than it sounds.

For everything a centre does with its students — enrolling them, assigning homework, grading, running mock exams, reading analytics — the centre decides and we act on its instructions. We don't decide which students to enrol, what to assign them, or what to do with their results. If you are a student or a parent and you want data changed or deleted, ask the centre first; they can do most of it themselves from the admin panel, and we'll help them with the rest.

For a smaller set of things — the accounts of teachers and centre staff, billing records, security logs, and the aggregated numbers we use to decide what to build next — we decide, and this policy is our promise about it.

What we collect

Three kinds of information, and nothing beyond what the product needs to work:

  • Account details — name, email, role, and the centre you belong to. For paying centres, billing name and the last four digits of the payment card (the full card is held by our payment processor, never by us).
  • Teaching content — the questions, passages, vocabulary lists, assignments and mock exams you create or upload.
  • Student work and results — submitted answers, essays, speaking recordings where enabled, scores, and the analytics we derive from them.
  • Student activity — when a student was last online, and when they opened, worked on or submitted homework, sat a mock exam or practised vocabulary. Their own teacher sees this as an activity journal; it is kept with the student's record.

We also record basic technical logs — browser type, approximate region derived from your IP address, and timestamps — for security and debugging. There is no advertising tracker, marketing pixel or session-recording tool inside the signed-in app. There is one advertising pixel on our public pages, and we name it in Cookies & storage.

Each signed-in device keeps its IP address and the approximate city derived from it while that sign-in lasts, so you can recognise your own devices in Settings → Devices. Locations come from an offline database on our own servers (IP Geolocation by DB-IP); the address is never sent to anyone.

Speaking recordings

Where a centre turns on speaking practice, we store the audio so it can be graded and so a student can hear it back. It is used for that and nothing else. We do not use voice recordings to identify anyone, and we do not build voice profiles. The recording is kept with the submission it belongs to, for as long as that submission is kept. It goes when the centre deletes the student or the work, and it goes sooner if you ask us.

Why we collect it

To run the thing you're paying for: showing a student their assignments, grading their essay, telling you which topics a class is weakest in, and producing a report you can hand to a parent. We also use aggregated, de-identified usage patterns — counts and trends that cannot be traced back to any individual — to decide what to build next.

On what basis

For teachers and centre staff, we process your data because you agreed to it when you created an account and because we need it to deliver the service you're paying for. For students, the centre enrols them on the authority it holds and instructs us what to do; we don't process a student's work for any purpose the centre hasn't asked for. Billing records we keep because the law requires it. Anything outside all of that, we'd ask you first — and you could say no.

AI grading and your work

Student submissions are sent to OpenAI (api.openai.com) to produce a score and feedback. The model we currently use is gpt-4.1-mini. Where a task is spoken, the recording goes to the same provider first to be turned into text, and the text is what gets graded.

Under our agreement with them, your submissions are not used to train their models. They are, however, held briefly on the provider's side so that abuse of the service can be detected — under OpenAI's standard API terms that is up to 30 days, after which they are deleted. We can't shorten that window ourselves, and we'd rather tell you it exists than imply your work vanishes the moment it is graded. We do not hold a zero-retention agreement with OpenAI, so the standard 30 days is what applies to your students' work.

Every AI score is visible to you before it reaches a student, and you can override it. Savad keeps the original submission alongside both the AI score and your correction, so a parent asking "how was this graded?" gets a real answer.

Predicted scores and analytics

Savad estimates how a student is likely to perform, flags weak topics, and ranks performance within a class. These are automated estimates based on work done inside Savad. They don't decide anything on their own: no student is admitted, refused, graded or placed by Savad's software. A teacher sees the reasoning, can disagree with it, and their judgement is the one that counts. See our AI disclaimer for how these estimates work and what they don't tell you.

Students under 18

Most exam-prep students are minors, so we treat all student accounts as if they are. Student accounts are created by their teacher or centre, not by us marketing to them. Students receive no promotional email from Savad — only notifications about their own classes and assignments. Parents can ask the centre for a copy or deletion of their child's data at any time, and the centre can action it from the admin panel without contacting us.

Savad is for students aged 13 and over. Centres are responsible for confirming that they have the authority — including a parent's or guardian's, where the law requires it — to enrol each student. If we learn that a student under 13 has been enrolled, we will tell the centre and remove the account.

Who else sees it

Inside your centre: teachers see the students in their classes; centre admins see the whole centre; students see only their own work. Nobody from another centre can see anything of yours.

Outside your centre, we use a small number of processors — cloud hosting, OpenAI for AI grading and speech-to-text, Cloudflare for the sign-in security check, Desmos for the in-exam calculator, email delivery, and Epoint for payments. Each is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions. We also run Meta's advertising pixel on our public pages, which tells Meta that someone reached a page or started signing up — that is the one place where an advertiser learns anything, it never runs inside the signed-in app, and it never sees student work. We do not sell or rent data to anyone.

Where data goes

Our systems run in Europe. Our AI grading provider, OpenAI, processes in the United States — we do not hold EU data-residency terms with them, so anything sent for grading is processed there.

That means data leaves Azerbaijan. We'd rather say it plainly than bury it: modern cloud hosting and AI grading are not available inside the country at the quality this product needs, so we use providers abroad. Before any data reaches one of them we put a contract in place requiring them to process it only on our instructions, keep it secure, and not use it for anything of their own.

Your teaching content

The questions, packs, assignments and mock exams you build stay yours. Two things are worth stating plainly, because you'd rather read them here than discover them later.

We can see it. Savad staff can view content stored on the platform in order to moderate it, investigate an abuse or copyright report, and help when you raise a support ticket. Every such view is written to an audit log with who looked, at what, and when.

We can change it when you ask us to. Savad staff can also correct or remove content stored on the platform — to fix a problem you reported, to act on a copyright or abuse report, or to add material you ordered. Every such change is written to the same audit log with who changed what, and when.

Seeing it is not permission to use it. Your content is never published to other teachers unless you say yes. We may ask — you'll get a request naming the item and the terms — and declining costs you nothing. The full ownership and licence terms are in Content, Intellectual Property & Copyright.

How long we keep it

Most policies answer this with a table of day counts. We are going to answer it with what our software actually does, which is a different thing and worth being straight about.

  • Active accounts — kept for as long as the centre is using Savad.
  • Archived students — archiving a student hides them from day-to-day lists but keeps their record, so history survives a term break. The record stays until someone deletes it.
  • Deleted students and deleted work — removed when a centre admin deletes them, which they can do themselves at any time, or when you ask us to. Speaking recordings go with the submission they belong to.
  • Closed accounts — removed from our live systems when we close the account, except for invoices we are legally required to keep. Backups rotate on their own schedule, so a copy can survive in a backup for a short period after that.
  • Technical logs — kept while they are useful for security and debugging, and rotated out.
The part most policies leave out

Savad does not currently run an automatic deletion clock. Nothing in the system watches a calendar and erases a record because a set number of months has passed. Deletion happens because a centre admin does it, or because you ask us and we do it.

That is why you will not find "24 months" or "90 days" anywhere above. We would rather publish a shorter promise we keep than a precise one we don't. When the scheduled deletion jobs are built, we will publish the exact periods here and date the change.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, export it, or delete it. A centre admin can already do much of this without us: student records can be viewed, corrected and deleted from the admin panel, and results can be exported as reports. For anything the panel doesn't cover — a full copy of your own account data, or a deletion the panel won't reach — email us and we'll handle it within 7 working days at no cost.

If you're a student or parent, start with your centre — they hold the controls and can act immediately. If they can't help, write to us.

If we say no, or you think we've got something wrong, tell us why at info@savad.io and a person will look at it again. If you're still not satisfied, you can take it to the state authority responsible for personal data protection in Azerbaijan.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access by our team is limited to the few people who need it to support you, requires two-factor authentication, and is logged. If a breach ever affected your data, we would tell affected centres directly — not quietly post a notice — and we'd do it within 72 hours of establishing what happened.

Changes to this policy

When we change something that matters, we'll email centre administrators at least 30 days before it takes effect and update the date at the top. Small corrections — a clearer sentence, a new provider on the list — we just make.

2 · Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Savad. They're written to be read. Where a sentence carries real legal weight we've said so plainly rather than hiding it in capital letters.

Who you're contracting with

Savad is a service of "EXAMROOM" Məhdud Məsuliyyətli Cəmiyyəti (EXAMROOM LLC), taxpayer number (VÖEN) 1704227541, at Bül-bül avenue 14, apt. 15, Sabail district, Baku, Azerbaijan. Savad is the name of the product; EXAMROOM LLC is the company behind it and the party you are contracting with. Invoices, receipts and card statements may show either name.

Who these terms apply to

  • The customer — the education centre, school, company or individual teacher who signs up and pays. The customer is responsible for everyone it invites onto its account.
  • Users — teachers, administrators and students who use Savad under a customer's account.

By creating an account, or by using Savad after being invited to one, you accept these terms. If you're accepting on behalf of an organisation, you're confirming you're allowed to.

Who can use Savad

Savad is for students aged 13 and over. Student accounts are created by a centre or teacher, never by us. The customer confirms that it holds whatever permission the law requires — including parental or guardian permission where that applies — before enrolling a student.

Your account

Keep your credentials to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account, and for making sure the people you invite follow these terms and our Acceptable Use Policy. Tell us at info@savad.io if you think an account has been compromised.

What we're providing

While your subscription is active, you get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Savad for teaching and learning inside your organisation. That's it — you can't resell access, share seats between people, or use Savad to build a competing product.

We improve the platform continuously, so features change. We won't remove something you're depending on without telling you first: material reductions in functionality get 30 days' notice by email.

White-label and the Savad credit

Branding and white-label let you put your own name, logo, colours, sign-in page, emails and — on white-label — your own domain on Savad. One thing stays on every tier: a small “Powered by SAVAD” credit, in the footer of the app your students and staff use, at the bottom of the emails Savad sends for you, and on parent reports and other documents Savad produces for you.

Keeping that credit is a condition of using branding or white-label. Don't remove, hide, cover, shrink, recolour to invisibility or otherwise obscure it, and don't ask anyone else to — including by editing pages, styles or exported files, or by presenting Savad as a product you or a third party built. If the credit is removed or obscured we'll ask you to restore it; if it isn't restored, we may switch branding off on your account until it is, and a deliberate or repeated breach is a breach of these terms.

Practice exams and AI

Savad's exams are original practice simulations. They are not official exams, and Savad is not affiliated with any examination owner. Savad's AI produces suggestions, drafts and estimates that a qualified human should review before they affect a student. Both points are set out in full in Exam, Trademark & AI Disclaimers, which forms part of these terms.

Availability and support

We work to keep Savad available and fast, and we schedule maintenance outside peak exam hours where we can. We don't publish an uptime percentage — we'd rather commit to a number we can measure and honour than to a marketing one. Institutional customers can ask for a service level commitment in their contract.

Support is available at info@savad.io, Monday to Friday during business hours, Baku time. We aim to reply to everything within one business day.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using Savad at any time; cancellation and its effect on billing are covered in Billing.

We may suspend or limit an account if it breaches these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if payment fails and stays unresolved, or if we reasonably believe continued use puts other users, students or the platform at risk. Except where the risk is immediate — safeguarding, security, or unlawful content — we'll tell you what the problem is and give you a fair chance to fix it before we act.

If the agreement ends: your access stops, and we handle your data as described above and your content as described in Content. Export your material before you go — we'll give you 30 days after termination to do it.

What we don't promise

Savad is provided as it is. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that AI output will be accurate, or that using Savad will produce any particular exam result. Practice scores, predicted scores and analytics are estimates based on work done inside Savad; they are not a prediction or guarantee of a student's official exam result.

Limitation of liability

Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data beyond our stated backup commitments, or lost opportunity.

Our total liability to you for anything arising out of this agreement is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing here limits liability that Azerbaijani law does not allow us to limit — including fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence — and nothing here takes away the rights Azerbaijani consumer protection law gives an individual buyer.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the courts of Baku have jurisdiction. If you are an individual rather than a business, nothing here takes away the rights Azerbaijani consumer protection law gives you.

Before anyone goes to court, let's talk. Write to info@savad.io and we'll try to sort it out directly — that has worked every time so far.

3 · Subscription, Billing & Refunds

No small print games. Here is exactly what you're charged, when, and what happens if you want to stop.

Who you're paying

Subscriptions are sold by "EXAMROOM" MMC (EXAMROOM LLC), VÖEN 1704227541. Card payments are processed by Epoint (epoint.az), a licensed Azerbaijani payment provider; we never see or store your full card number. Your card statement will show Savad.io.

Plans and prices

Current plans and prices are on our pricing page. Prices are shown in Azerbaijani manat (AZN) and include any applicable taxes — the figure on the pricing page is the figure you pay.

Billing cycle

Monthly plans are charged on the day you subscribe and on the same day each month. Annual plans are charged once for the year.

Renewals. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term at the then-current price for your plan, so your classes don't stop mid-term. You agree to this when you subscribe, and we ask you to confirm it separately at checkout. We'll email you before we charge a renewal: 7 days before a monthly renewal and 30 days before an annual one. You can turn off renewal at any time from Settings → Billing.

Free trial

New centres get 14 days of full access after a demo, free, with no card required. Nothing is charged when a trial ends — if you don't subscribe, the account simply becomes read-only and your content stays available for 90 days in case you come back.

Cancelling

Cancel any time from Settings → Billing, or by emailing info@savad.io. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for — you keep full access until then, and you're not charged again. Cancelling isn't the same as deleting; to have your data removed, see the privacy section above.

Refunds

First purchase — 14 days. If Savad isn't right for your centre, tell us within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full. One 14-day refund per customer.

Renewals. Renewal payments aren't normally refunded, because you've had notice and can cancel at any point in the term. But if a renewal takes you by surprise, tell us within 7 days of the charge and, provided the new term has barely been used, we'll refund it and close the subscription.

Mid-term cancellation. If you cancel partway through a paid term, access continues to the end of that term and the remaining time isn't refunded.

SituationWhat happens
Duplicate or double chargeAlways refunded, no time limit
A charge after you cancelledAlways refunded, no time limit
A charge for a plan you didn't orderAlways refunded, no time limit

Change of mind after 14 daysNot refunded
A term you used and then decided not to renewNot refunded
Unused seats or students within a plan you choseNot refunded
An account terminated for breach of Acceptable UseNot refunded

Refunds go back to the card that paid, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

If you're buying as an individual

Some of our customers are individual teachers rather than centres or companies. Azerbaijani consumer protection law gives individual buyers rights that a policy like this one cannot take away. If those rights would give you a better outcome than what's written above, they apply.

Changing plans

Upgrading takes effect immediately, and we charge the difference for the rest of your current term, prorated. Downgrading takes effect at your next renewal, so you keep what you've paid for until then. Adding students or seats mid-term is charged prorated for the remainder of the term.

If a payment fails

We'll retry and email you. If it still hasn't gone through after 14 days, the account moves to read-only — your data is not deleted, and everything comes back when the payment clears.

Before you dispute a charge

If something looks wrong on your statement, email info@savad.io and we'll answer within 2 business days. Almost every dispute we've seen is a renewal that wasn't recognised, and we can fix that faster than your bank can. Raising a chargeback without contacting us may suspend the account while it's investigated.

4 · Acceptable Use

Savad holds teaching material people worked hard on, and personal data about children. These rules exist to protect both. They apply to everyone using Savad — centres, teachers, administrators and students.

Don't upload what isn't yours

Only upload content you created or have the right to use. That specifically includes not uploading scanned textbook pages, past papers, official exam questions or other people's question banks that you don't hold rights to.

Don't misuse student data

If your role gives you access to students' work, results or personal details, use it to teach them and nothing else. Don't export it for unrelated purposes, don't share it outside your centre, and don't use it to market anything to students or their families.

Don't break exam integrity

Don't attempt to defeat, disable or work around timing, fullscreen, focus or anti-cheat controls, and don't help a student do so. Don't share live exam content with students before they sit it.

Don't take the platform apart

No scraping, crawling or bulk extraction of Savad's question banks, templates or libraries. No reverse engineering, no probing our security, no automated access to the platform, and no using Savad's content or output to train a competing model or build a competing product.

Don't share accounts

One person, one account. Seats are for named individuals, not for a staffroom login passed around.

Don't post harmful content

Nothing unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexual, violent or otherwise inappropriate — and, given the age of our students, we set that bar deliberately low. Nothing that impersonates another person or centre. No malware.

Safeguarding

If you see something on Savad that suggests a student is at risk, report it to your centre's safeguarding lead and to us at info@savad.io. We'll act on credible reports immediately, including by suspending access, and we'll cooperate with the centre and, where necessary, with the authorities.

What happens if these rules are broken

Usually we'll contact you, explain the problem and ask you to fix it. Where the risk is serious — a safeguarding concern, a security threat, unlawful content, or a credible copyright claim — we may remove content or suspend access first and explain afterwards. Repeated or deliberate breaches can end the agreement without a refund.

5 · Content, Intellectual Property & Copyright

Short version

What you make stays yours, what we make stays ours, and neither of us gets to quietly help ourselves to the other's work. The detail below matters because Savad holds several different kinds of content, and they don't all have the same answer.

What you create stays yours

The questions, passages, homework, exams, packs, rubrics and files you create or upload are your intellectual property. Uploading them to Savad does not transfer ownership to us, does not make them ours to sell, and does not put them into any shared library. You can export them and you can keep using them anywhere else, including after you leave.

The permission we do need

To actually run the service, we need your permission to do specific technical things with your content: store it, back it up, display it to the students and colleagues you choose, convert it between formats, send it to our AI systems when you ask for grading or generation, and produce analytics from it for you.

So you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, back up, reproduce, display, adapt and process your content solely to provide and support Savad for you. That licence exists only for that purpose, and it ends when your content is deleted — apart from copies sitting in routine backups until they rotate out.

We don't use your content to market Savad, don't show it to other centres, and don't use it to train AI models. If we ever want to do any of those, we'll ask, individually and specifically.

The Savad Library — opt-in, and only opt-in

Sometimes we'd like to offer a particularly good exam or question set to other teachers. When that happens you'll get a request naming the item and the terms. Declining costs you nothing and changes nothing about your account.

If you accept: you keep full ownership, you're credited as the author, you can keep using and selling the material yourself, and you can withdraw it at any time from Settings → Savad Library. Withdrawal stops it being served to anyone else from that point; copies already downloaded by other centres for their own teaching can't be recalled, and we'll say so plainly at the point you agree.

Student work

A student's answers, essays and recordings belong to the student — or, where local law says so, to their parent or guardian. The centre may use them for teaching, assessment and reporting. We process them only to run the service for the centre, and we don't use them to train general-purpose AI models.

AI-assisted content

When you use Savad to generate questions, homework, lesson plans or feedback, the output is yours to use however you like, and we claim no ownership in it.

Two honest caveats. First, in many countries material generated by a machine may attract limited or no copyright protection, so you may not be able to stop others using something identical — that's the law, not our terms. Second, AI output can be wrong; review it before it reaches a student.

What belongs to Savad

The platform itself — software, design, exam engine, analytics models, and the question banks, templates, ready-made exams and library material that Savad produces — is ours or our licensors'.

While your subscription is active you may use Savad's own materials for teaching your own students inside Savad. You may not extract, copy, republish, resell, redistribute or share them outside the platform, use them to build a competing product or train a model, or keep using them after your subscription ends. Printing an exam to sit it in a classroom is fine; posting our question bank to a file-sharing site is not.

Reporting copyright infringement

If you believe something on Savad infringes your copyright, write to info@savad.io with:

  1. what the work is, and enough detail for us to find it;
  2. where it appears on Savad;
  3. your contact details;
  4. a statement that you believe the use isn't authorised; and
  5. a statement that the information is accurate and you're the rights-holder or authorised to act for them.

We'll acknowledge within 2 business days, investigate, and remove or restrict access to content where the claim is credible. We'll tell the person who uploaded it, and they can respond with an explanation or evidence of their rights; if they do, we may restore it. Accounts that repeatedly infringe are suspended or closed.

Exam owners and publishers: this is also the address for any concern about our practice materials or our use of exam names. We take those seriously and answer them personally.

6 · Exam, Trademark & AI Disclaimers

What Savad's practice exams are

Every exam, section and question in Savad is original material created for Savad. Our exams are written by experienced teachers and subject-matter specialists, with the assistance of AI, and are designed to closely mirror the format, timing, section structure, question types and difficulty of the examinations they simulate.

What they are not

They are not official examinations. They are not licensed, authorised or approved by any examination owner. They are not previously administered tests, and they contain no official, released or reproduced exam questions. Where Savad ever offers material that genuinely is an officially released or licensed paper, we will say so explicitly on that item; if it doesn't say so, it is original Savad material.

Savad's practice materials were not generated from, trained on, or derived from any examination owner's copyrighted content. Our AI-assisted question generation works from our own material and from specifications that are publicly published by the examination owners.

No affiliation, no endorsement

Savad is an independent provider of educational software and practice materials. Savad is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected in any way to any examination owner named on this page. No examination owner has reviewed, approved, licensed or contributed to Savad's materials, its software or its services.

Why we name exams at all

We name examinations for one reason: so you know which exam a practice test is designed to prepare you for. There is no honest way to describe a SAT® practice exam without saying "SAT®". Those names and marks belong to their owners, are used here only to identify the examination being simulated, and their use does not imply any relationship with, or endorsement by, their owners.

Scores, predictions and results

Savad's scores, predicted scores, readiness indicators and analytics are estimates calculated from work done inside Savad. They are generated by our own statistical and AI models. They have not been validated, reviewed or approved by any examination owner, and they are not equivalent to an official score.

A practice score is not a prediction of an official exam result, and Savad does not guarantee any particular exam outcome. Real results depend on preparation, exam-day conditions, official scoring and scaling methods, and many other things outside our control. Use our estimates the way you'd use a mock result: as a signal about what to work on, not as a forecast.

How Savad uses AI

AI runs through much of Savad. It drafts questions and homework, helps grade written and spoken work, summarises how a student is doing, spots weak topics, and estimates readiness. Here is what you should know about it.

AI assists; it does not decide. Everything our AI produces is a draft or a suggestion for a qualified human to accept, edit or reject. Grades, feedback shown to a student, study plans and any decision about a student's progress remain the teacher's and the centre's.

It can be wrong. AI-generated questions can contain errors, ambiguities or an answer key that doesn't hold up. AI grading can misread nuance, misjudge an unusual but valid argument, or be too generous or too harsh. This is a known property of the technology, not a fault in your account, and it is why we show you every AI output before a student sees it.

Use your professional judgement. You know your students; the model does not. Review AI-generated material before you assign it, review AI grades before you release them, and treat an AI insight as a prompt to look closer rather than a conclusion.

You'll always know when it's AI. Content Savad generates or grades with AI is labelled in the product. When you're interacting with an AI feature rather than a person, we say so.

We keep the trail. For any AI-assisted grade, Savad stores the original submission, the AI's score and feedback, and the teacher's correction, so anyone who asks how a piece of work was graded gets a real answer.

Your work isn't training anyone's model. Student submissions and your teaching content are not used to train general-purpose AI models.

If an AI output looks wrong, tell us at info@savad.io — including the item. It's the fastest way we improve, and we do act on it.

7 · Cookies & browser storage

Savad's own servers set no cookies at all. Three outside services store something in your browser, and one of those three is advertising — all four facts are below, named.

Once you're signed in

Savad's own servers set no cookies. Not a session cookie, not a security token cookie, not an analytics cookie. What keeps you signed in is a single sign-in token that your browser stores locally, under the name examflow.auth.token. It differs from a cookie in a way worth knowing: a cookie is attached automatically to requests, while this token is only ever read by Savad's own pages and sent deliberately to our own servers. It stays until you sign out or clear your site data for savad.io.

Inside the app there is no advertising pixel, no analytics tag and no session-recording script. The advertising pixel described below does not load here. Nothing about a lesson, a submission or a result is visible to an advertiser.

Two services that are necessary

Cloudflare Turnstile runs the "are you human?" check and stores what it needs to in your browser from challenges.cloudflare.com. It is mounted on the pages that can be used without an account — signing in and signing up among them — which are exactly the pages that would otherwise be open to automated abuse. It does not track you across other sites.

Desmos provides the on-screen graphing calculator that loads inside an exam, from www.desmos.com. It stores what a calculator needs to keep its own state while a student is working.

One service that is advertising: Meta's pixel

We run Meta's advertising pixel so we can tell whether the ads we pay for actually bring anyone to Savad. It loads on our public pages and on the sign-in and sign-up screens, and it stops at the door: it does not load once you are inside the app.

What it tells Meta is that a browser reached one of those pages or began signing up. What it does not get is anything a student does inside Savad — no assignment, no submission, no score, no report.

There is no cookie banner and no on-page control today. The pixel loads without asking you first. We are not going to describe that as a choice you have when it isn't one. Until we ship a consent control, the honest position is that your options are your browser's.

There is no analytics tool in this list because there isn't one — no page-statistics tag, and no session-recording script, anywhere.

Turning things off

We will say this plainly rather than point you at a settings link that does not exist yet: Savad has no cookie-settings control today. Building one is on our list, and when it exists it will appear in the footer and be described here.

In the meantime, the controls that do work are your browser's. Blocking third-party cookies and scripts, or using a content blocker, stops Meta's pixel. Clearing your browser's storage for savad.io removes the sign-in token and signs you out, which is exactly what it should do.

The two necessary services are a different matter: you can block them, but you will not be able to sign in without the security check, and a student sitting a maths exam will not have a calculator.
